STMA is creating a series of aircraft owned by the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum. These X-Plane models will be flown by visitors on their custom built simulators

Here is what Norm LaGasse, museum executive director, has to say about our O-1 Bird Dog on skis which is currently in use on their simulator: "Ole Dog on skis is a hit with the visitors. This is a V8 update of our Piper Cheyenne IIIA (PA42-720). Edmondo deGaspari who flew the IIIA for Alitalia provided invaluable technical advise and flight testing of the model. Many of our customers have said that the V7 Cheyenne is one of the very best flying X-Plane airplanes they´ve flown. This V8 version has those same great flying qualities. In addition.

  • Flight model data from its Type Certificate Data Sheet (TCDS) and from the pilot operating handbook (POH).
  • GoodWay compatible.
  • Transparent windows.
  • Detailed 3D cockpit, instrument panel, and main cabin! Instructions for converting to a cockpit which has no pilots is included for those who desire it.
  • A realistic instrument panel with gauges that are as close to those installed in the real airplane as X-Plane permits.

  • A very accurate and realistic paint job by master painter Shannon Boatman.
  • Documents include performance charts and checklists extracted from the Pilot Operating Handbook (POH).
