STMA is creating a series of aircraft owned by the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum. These X-Plane models will be flown by visitors on their custom built simulators

Here is what Norm LaGasse, museum executive director, has to say about our O-1 Bird Dog on skis which is currently in use on their simulator: "Ole Dog on skis is a hit with the visitors. They really enjoy the the challenge of trying to land her on the mountain glaciers." He is anticipating even more excitement when they can fly their own aircraft on simular exciting adventures.

STMA Crew

Jim McNeill, Papa Mac to his friends, is the owner of Papa Mac Enterprises (PME) and is the primary flight model and 3D panel guy. He has been flying for over 48 years and when he is not hunched over a computer in the design shop he can be found teaching his grandkids to fly in the family Cessna182, which is featured as an X-Plane model, or is busy flying other peoples airplanes and helicopters. Shannon will not let him near a texture for good reason.... A four year-old with crayons can draw better than he does.

Peter Fischer, nicknamed Snow, who was the winner of our Piper Cheyenne II livery contest, is now our primary livery and instrument panel designer. He owns Fischer-Bayern Artwork , and does really beautiful graphics work. Look for his "touch of glass" on all of our instrument panels and for his immaculate, intricately detailed liveries.

Shannon Boatman, "Partner" to his friends and co-workers, is the owner of Flying Colors and is primary livery graphics guru, but has been known to create a design or two when his muse whispers in his ear. He's the author of our extremely popular Lear 35. When he is not slaving away for a major turbine engine manufacturer or working in his yard, he turns out the beautiful textures that make STMA aircraft the fine products they are.

Shannon has decided to step away from STMA for awhile for personal reasons. We hope to see him come back from this sabbatical in a few months. In the meantime, his chair is still at the STMA table and his coffee cup is in the rack

Our newest associate is Bob Feaver, known on X-Plane sites as "Blue Side Up, Bob." He is the author of the unique animated pilot and passenger figures that are starting to appear in STMA's models and is our resident plug-in expert. He has authored such unique creations as his HangarOps plug-in which animates hangar doors and allows you to push back and turn your airplane around. When not applying his X-Plane skills he is busy with his family, playing stand-up bass, and enjoying the outdoor life at his lake-side home north of Toronto.

Roger Mark, a Kansas City artist who for many years has had his own illustration, photography and graphic design business. He is now the newest member of the STMA team, (Okay Bob, time to move your "Blue Side" up). Roger will be helping Peter and Jim shoulder the load of livery and other 3D graphic work that helps make STMA a leader in X-Plane models. 3D work is one of his passions, especially when he gets to hit the "render" button.

When Roger is not out riding his Harley with his kids, he is home with his new grandson, being constantly amused and refreshed. Glad to be aboard and Roger on the Roger.

Our Webmaster is Mark Roberts. He is the one that keeps the site up and hopefully all the links working. Complain to him if you find anything not working correctly. Mark recently retired from the US Army with 22 years of service. He hangs his hat in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
